What to wear? That is the question

Here are some of the things I know I will be bringing on my trip. I am leaving tonight to stay with my mom in Fayetteville, and then we are heading to Tulsa first thing in the morning, hoping we can fly out before the ice storm hits. I hear it is going to be quite CHILLY here in Arkansas...and it will be a low of 20 degrees at night in NYC, which is perfectly fine with me! I love a cold winter day, all bundled up in scarves and boots and jackets...walking around the most beautiful city in the world! I havent even started packing, except for in my mind. I thrive on procrastination...at least I tell myself that!
These are the things that are already in my suitcase in my mind...

warm, toasty, puffy jackets and vests

Rachel Pally dress, can be worn on or off the sholders
%50 off here

Joseph bought me these wonderful, comfy MIA boots for Christmas

Im sure there will be lots of leggings, skinny jeans, dresses and cardigans in tow!
I will bring back lots of pics!

ciao for now

I'm in an Empire State of Mind

I booked tickets for my mom and I to NYC on Jan 28th and I am so excited. We have not been on a vacation together since I was a pre-teen, and we are long over due for some serious mom/daughter time. I can't wait to get a week of just the two of us, no real estate, no distractions. Plus, I fell madly in love with this city about 3 and 1/2 years ago. We went several times in a year long period for our Amazing Race promotion events. I admit, I really wish I could share this trip with Joseph as well, it is kinda "our city," because we truly have had some of the best times of our lives in this spectacular city.
Here are a few pics of our NYC adventures.

Out and about n the Meat Packing district

Eating breakfast at about 3:30 a.m. after a night out at Marquee
There is a whole fabulous after party scene at these amazing sit down breakfast spots in the city

Central Park
glad I threw this raincoat away...

Erika, the producer that recruited me for the RACE and someone that was on Survivor...they were trying to do the "bump"

This club overlooked the city, the girl on the far left is Danielle from the RACE

At a comedy club

Pre TAR flies party with our cast
(TAR flies are avid Amazing Race fans who throw the Racers a red carpet event..very surreal)

Can't wait to share new experiences with my mom. It is restaurant week in NYC...very exciting. I am looking forward to amazing food, wine, entertainment and shopping.
